Burkina Faso has a young and rapidly growing population, with 65 percent under the age of 25. However with less than 25 percent literacy among Burkinabé people, the 3-2-1 Service in Burkina Faso fulfills a strong need for information accessible to all segments of society.
The current content includes information supporting Agriculture, Good Health and Well-being.
Our partners promote these goals with topics, and messages, designed and tested to engage with Burkina Faso’s diverse population. (See below.)
All content is available in Moore, Dioula, and French.
3-2-1 is a great way for farmers to access vital tips on agriculture in their own language and at the time that is convenient to them. We hope that many other partners will join us in putting up relevant content for the farmers in Burkina.
— Zarina Douglas-Sori, Country Director for Self-Help Africa
The 3-2-1 Service launched in Burkina Faso in 2017.
3-2-1 could become the “spoken Google” for Burkinabe who do not have access to the Internet, who do not speak French, or who can not read well.
