Ghanians have access to free, trusted information on Children & Youth, Family Planning, Education,  Good Governance (Elections), Maternal Health (Nutrition and Malaria Prevention Advice for Pregnant Women), Sexual Reproductive Health, WASH, and Weather, plus a unique service to provide on-demand weekly News summaries across five different categories.

Every message on the system is available in five national languages: English, Ewe, Ga, Hausa, and Twi.

The 3-2-1 Service launched in Ghana in April 2016.

It is an effective, sustainable and cost-effective intervention provided at national level, by health experts and telephone companies without the requirement for donor dependency.

Vodafone Ghana Foundation

Vodafone Ghana Foundation

Vodafone Ghana is the national telecommunications company of Ghana. Unlike many operators in Africa, Vodafone also provides landline service in addition to mobile service. Vodafone Ghana Foundation is the only 3-2-1 Service partner that is a foundation set up by a telecom to provide socially beneficial information to their subscribers.

Mobile phone penetration in Ghana is about 55 percent of the population. Vodafone Ghana has nearly 8 million subscribers, and more than 22 percent of the market share.

Whether you are using a smartphone or a normal handset or whether you are in the city or a village, you can access the wide range of 3-2-1 services in your local language. It does not require the beneficiary to be technology savvy.

— Nana Yaa Ofori-Koree, Head of Vodafone Ghana Foundation and Sustainability
