Nepal has abundant natural resources with a diverse ecosystem and a growing economy.
Despite this strong potential, the majority of the population still engages in subsistence agriculture, isolated from the flow of information and resources by Nepal’s famously mountainous terrain — with eight of the world’s ten highest peaks.
The 3-2-1 Service is a powerful tool for overcoming geographical barriers and contribute to better life outcomes for Nepalese people. The service will include trusted information on agriculture and health, as well as weather forecasts and resilience information to mitigate the impact of natural disasters.
Future content will include information on Agriculture, Climate Action, Gender Equality, Good Health and Well-being
Our partners support these goals with topics, messages, designed and tested to engage with Nepal’s diverse population. (See below.)
All content will be available in: Nepali, Nepal Bhasa, Maithili, Tamang, Tharu, Bhojpuri, Magar, Limbu, Gurung, and Urdu.
The 3-2-1 Service is expected to launch by the end of 2018.
